Summer Programs
The Fresh Air Fund, a not-for-profit youth development organization, provides free outdoor experiences to children from New York City’s underserved communities.
Applications are still open for this summer's programs, which include:
Sleepaway Camps: Children will explore the environment, learn outdoor skills and make friends at sleepaway camps in New York's mid-Hudson Valley. These camps are available for ages 8 through 15, with offerings based on age, gender and ability.
Friendly Towns: Children stay with a host family in a small town or a suburban or rural community along the East Coast. This is available for ages 8 through 14.
Apply to the Harlem Educational Activities Fund (HEAF)
HEAF is a college access program that provides academic enrichment, personal development, college prep and career exposure to middle and high school students from New York City’s underserved communities. HEAF makes an 11-year, fully funded commitment to students from 6th grade to college graduation.
